Selecting a crop,

 we pay special concern selecting crops. we select heirloom crop verities. 

Heirloom seeds are seeds obtain from traditional  crop verities. these are  became verities through long term selection. one or more traits are identified during the selection such as  yield, taste, color, shape. farmers obtain seeds from plants that produce fruit or seed with desired traits  . pollination of this plants happen naturally by  bees, insects, birds.now you  can obtain these type of seeds from farmers  small scale seed sellers.   

since we don't use any synthetic agro chemical we give priority to more pest resistant, traditional crops that can perform in our soil and weather condition. such as spine gourd(thumba) , turkey  berry, wild eggplant (Thithbatu) , ni miriss, black gram, finger millet.
